Social-Cognitive Theories to Explain Physical Activity

چکیده

Despite the widely recognized health benefits of physical activity, participation in regular activity falls far short Global Action Plan on Physical Activity 2018–2030. More than half population does not reach current recommendations, and around one-fourth is sufficiently active at all. Understanding social-cognitive theories may aid creation interventions to improve long-term maintenance. The work covers theory research patterns. It specifically provides an overview contemporary conceptualizations motivational cognitive theories, as well reviews recent perspectives how can be adopted maintained. Key questions, such whether executed purely based functions, are also addressed. Furthermore, this review identifies possible effective intervention strategies promote activity.
